Holy hell, I´ve got a lot to write.

First I would like to rage over the fact that I am living horribly over-budget. I average 35 dollars a day. I have enough money for 30 dollars a day, and I was planning on 20 dollars a day. As it turns out, the euro does not equal the dollar. As it turns out, the euro equals 1.2 or 1.3 dollars. Also, as it turns out, Madrid only has €35 single rooms left in the city when you arrive at 23:00.

Lucky for me, I have friends. Friends like Mary, who I met at the Barcelona train station, when we both found out that there were no trains left for the entire night. Good ol´us, good ol´humanity, we decided to pack it out together overnight at the station. At 0:30, we were crudely awoken to the face of a guard telling us the staion was closing. CLOSING, can you imagine? Stations aren´t suppose to CLOSE! But this one did. Mary is from Peru, lived in MN for 7 months teaching at a Spanish immersion school in St. Louis Park, and is now a secratary in Madrid. We walked for an hour, after calling around for a half hour, and arrived at our ´hostal´. Not ´hostel´, but ´hostal´. This equals and addition of €10 on the price. I paid €21 Sunday night and €35 Monday night. I am over budget,and way over.

My hostel tonight is €7,80. I don´t want to think about money this much, but I need to, until I bring myself back down to equillibrium.

I´m meeting people. My contancts list reads 9 persons long, and three fourths of those people have invited me to stay in their homes.

Travelers are great to talk to, because they´re all the same. They all disgust stability in their lives, as well as material items. They all agree with everything I have to say, and I agree with everything they have to say. We are all practically the same person. Some of them are even in poker and chess clubs. Some of them scuba dive. Some of them are camping in South America for 5 months. Others are going home in 2 days. It´s hilariously fun.

I miss home a lot, but I know I wouldn´t want to be there. Nothing is going on there right now. Still, I miss it all. Miss YOU all!
