2003-09-20 -- 2:22 p.m. Hello Eeryone. I´m in Porto, Portugal right now, and I´m leaving for San Sebastian, Spain tomorrow. I would write about what I´ve been up to, but I´m not *feeling the flow*. So I´ll just say that this is tougher than China. China was simple, and I didn´t have to take care of myself. I had 3 parents there: USA mom, PRC mom, and Lili. Here, it´s all me, but this is a good thing. Like I´ve learned that it´s not worth it to buy a bag of frozen vegetables, wait till they thaw a little, and then rip off a corner of the bag and pour mushy-on-the-outside, frozen-on-the-inside, chopped up vegetables down my throat on a smelly dock. It is also not worth it to scrimp on transportation costs, because there will be no time to see anything if you must walk 5 km one-way from downtown areas to your hostel. It is also very helpful to ask people when you have questions. It does not make you smarter to figure things out on your own. People know things and it saves a lot of time to ask away. Profile
